Grand Slam tennis fans get ready. The French Open 2011 schedule is officially underway for Roland Garros. Many of the top stars are already in action, with Kim Clijsters upset early. In 2010 Spain’s Rafael Nadal captured the men’s singles championship, while Italy’s Francesca Schiavone won the women’s singles championship. Serena and Venus Williams of the US won the Women’s Doubles, while Canada’s Daniel Nestor and Serbia’s Nenad Zimonjic won the Men’s Doubles. All of these stars are looking for repeat performances this year.
For the 2011 tournament, in action the next several days are men’s tennis stars Roger Federer and Robin Soderling. Women’s tennis stars Samantha Stosur, Marion Bartoli and Maria Sharapova will also see action. For the women, Caroline Wozniacki is the top seeded player, while Rafael Nadal is top seed for the men. Sharapova is looking to continue on her winning ways in this tournament, after winning the 2011 Italian Open earlier this month.
So how can you watch the 2011 French Open at Roland Garros? Fans can watch the action on television on ESPN2HD, TENNIS channel, and for the weekend coverage, NBC. The Roland Garros French Open will run through June 30th, 2011.
There’s also a French Open streaming feed online to see games live. ESPN3 offers a live streaming video feed to give tennis fans a chance to watch the Roland Garros French Open on their PC’s or laptop computers.
The live stream French Open games will be shown Friday, May 27th, all the way through June 5th, 2011.
